The streetlights reflected shimmering hues in the glossy pavement as a single car rolled along. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The driver was tired from another long shift. Working multiple jobs was taking a toll. What time was it? For that matter, what day was it? Caught momentarily in the glare of the headlights- certainly several figures. Some a bit small? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The driver was unsure of what to do. The figures had been far enough away that the car didn&#8217;t need to stop or swerve to avoid them- they just slipped across the road, like cats- but, were some of them chasing the others? Was it dogs chasing cats? That was it&#8230;it must have been a group of dogs, chasing a group of cats, and a trick of the light.
